The World Ends With You

I thought i saw Azure talking about it before on here but it didnt come up on the search.

Anyway, I finally finished my MASSIVE load of music that i was sorting through, which leaves me with this game that i borrowed from a friend, I ment to buy it when it first came out but It was sold out at the time. So im only a few hours in on day 3 of the game but i love the game already with its Kindom hearts art, and Funky freash streets of modern japan. I could go off on all the things that get my joystick bouncing but For right now im just gonna mention the Battle system in two words, FAST & FUN! there is nothing more important to me than an RPG with a battle system that is Fun but also works fast. A bad example of a fighting system would be Xenosaga 1. Wait an hour to load the fight screen then wait an hour for each attack, while you get your ass kicked by simple badguys… I hate unessasary animations or long waits for fights. This game has an amazing battle system and it looks like it has much room to grow along with its scale of skill levels you can put into it.

Well, I got all 120 stars and it was a fantastic game. I didn’t bother going through again with Luigi, I’ll probably do that next time I play it though for a different experience. You can actually get 121 stars...the last star is just at the parade place where you begin, and it unlocks when you get 120 with Mario & Luigi, which is a bit much for me.

After 13 years, the fan translation is finally done. You can download the translation patch here. Need to have a GBA emulator and a ROM of the japanese game of course… but I’m sure you all can find those.

Your Wii Number.

Considering most of the people here will be having Brawl, if you haven’t already, fill out the Wii Number section in your profile then post in here. That way we can be sure we have each other added, and can update if anyone has changed their number.

Someone on a Smash forum said that if you have a friend’s Wii Number and you both own Brawl, it will automatically add you both to your respective Brawl list. So technically you only need one number to play Brawl against each other, the Brawl number. But if you want to send other people levels, replays, etc. I think you need both their Brawl number and Wii Number put in. I hope this wasn’t too confusing.

Zelda: Phantom Hour Glass

Im not sure if there was a topic on this or not but i couldn’t find it on search. I borrowed this from kaleb before i left and i just beat it the other day. I have to say this is one hell of a good installment to the Zelda series which i love dearly. unlike the previous Gameboy Zeldas before this, PHG is the first one in full 3d, but still plays with a top down angled view like the 2d versions. But even bigger than that, this is the first direct sequeal to a previous Zelda game, this one being Wind Waker for the Cube. The story however has no relation to it besides the world still being a giant ocean which you set sails to travel across or that Link already knows Zelda and is sailing on her ship when she gets captured like typical. Gannon isnt to be found (even though the blacksmith resembles him closely) And is instead replaced with an evil being known as Bellim (spl), who stole the ocean kings powers. Anyway it makes great use of the DS touch screen and stays true to an awesome Zelda Adventure. gotta get back to work later.

Kid kidnapps himself for a Wii

http://www.destructoid.com/kid-fakes-own-kidnap-for-nintendo-money-97661.phtml

A young man known only by his surname of Yang was charged by police Shangqiu, China, for conspiring to fake his own abduction. Yang worked with two men, Zhou and Pan, who pretended to be his kidnappers and extorted 10,000 yuan ($1,400) from the youth’s parents. They were caught when withdrawing the cash from an ATM.

Yang admitted to his own kidnap, claiming he did it because his parents “had refused to buy him a Nintendo computer.” I’m going to assume he means a Wii and not a Famicom, because that really would be tightfisted of the parents.

Piracy has gotten so bad in China that people are now stealing themselves. When will the madness end?
Final Fantasy IV (DS)

I just picked this up and I’ve never played this one before, so it feels really good to go back to a really classic Final Fantasy game. I haven’t made it very far at this point, but the 3D graphics, to me, seem to really fit the style of an old school Final Fantasy game. The voice overs aren’t something I’m excited about. I never thought they should have voices anyway, and these actors, I’m sure are doing their best, but it isn’t very good. Maybe its just my bias against voices in an FF title, but they don’t really do anything for me.

I got RE4 for the wii after many recommendations. Got to a part where the chick in the red dress appears and he says something about “she looks familiar”. Now I know this is n00bish, but I never followed the series so I was hoping each game had a new protagonist. Then, after looking it up, I found out Leon S. Kennedy was in every RE besides the first one.

What I want to know is, is it important to play the others first before I continue with 4? I’m sure it’ll still be fun, but would I get immersed more if I knew the whole backstory? Like with MGS.
