I’ve found that I really like to listen to jazz when I’m driving, so since I just got a new car (woo!) I’ve been listening to a lot of John Coltrane. Giant Steps is some deeeeeep shit. I cannot even begin to fathom the guy’s playing on this album.

A Miles Davis is fine too.

I think my biggest peeve about people who can’t appreciate jazz is when they say “there’s no words”. THE INSTRUMENTS DO THE SPEAKING GODDAMN IT. *facepalm* (not to mention that 95% jazz standards have had lyrics penned for them anyways)

Alkali, I think you should check out Thin Lizzy if you haven’t before. They did The Boys Are Back in Town and Jailbreak (two of their more famous songs). Ithink you would like them judging from the other bands you like. I’ll upload their greatest hits for you if you want me to.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Around 300 tracks making for about 16 hours of music. How can you go wrong? I’ve been listening for days and still haven’t finished.

I always kind of enjoyed jazz, I find it kind of relaxing.
always liked “Take 5” - the only piece of jazz on my computer…

I am still checking out this thin lizzy stuff you recommended to me…

Streetlight Manifesto
Everything Goes Numb (2003)

Streelight Manifesto has been taking over my itunes/car the past few days. It’s your basic Ska with sweet horns, fast lyrics, and bouncy happy tunes. Their album names/band name sounds emo as all hell, but they’re pretty sweet. Their older album is an instant classic, and their newer one is good but it took me a few times listening to it before it caught on like the first.

Streetlight Manifesto is one of the few ska bands that I actually like. The others are Sublime and Reel Big Fish. Those albums are both really good though. Point-Counterpoint is probably my favorite song off of Everything Goes Numb.

Lupe Fiasco - The Cool

this CD includes the single “superstar” which is good… if you like that song, the rest of the album is pretty damn good as well

Some Lynyrd Skynyrd… Don’t know if I’ve mentioned this before but they would also be in my top 5 bands.
